5 WWE Superstars who could win the Andre the Giant

5 WWE Superstars who could win the Andre the Giant
WrestleMania 37 is only a few days away. This year's celebration will be a two-night affair once again, but WWE seems to have plans to expand the party even further. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will be held again this year, as previously announced. It will, however, take place on SmackDown before WrestleMania 37, rather than at the PPV itself, as it has in the past.

Fans who wanted this match to take place at WrestleMania 37 were surprised by the decision. However, this year's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the WWE also reveals a list of 22 participants.

This is a wonderful chance for one of these superstars to make history and potentially boost their current position on the roster.

Let's look at 5 WWE Superstars who have a chance to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in SmackDown before WrestleMania 37.

WWE SmackDown Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura, a former NXT Champion, debuted on the main roster in 2017 and had a solid first year, winning the 2018 men's Royal Rumble match. However, at WrestleMania 34, he lost the WWE Championship match to AJ Styles, and his momentum has never been the same since.

Fans also want to see Shinsuke Nakamura get a big single to push and a potential world title reign on SmackDown, despite the fact that he has won a variety of singles and tag team titles. When he picked up a series of impressive victories in big matches earlier this year, WWE hinted at giving him a boost, but that didn't last long.

Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the favorites for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. This would be the King of Strong Style's first appearance in the history of the match, and he could win it all and use it to reach the world title picture after WrestleMania 37.

WWE RAW Mustafa Ali

RETRIBUTION participants had had enough and flipped on their chief Mustafa Ali at WWE Fastlane 2021. T-BAR and Mace administered a double chokeslam to Ali, formally throwing him out of the faction, while Reckoning and SlapJack walked away.

It's fair to say that RETRIBUTION as a party failed miserably, and it's probably for the best that Mustafa Ali is no longer a member. He's yet another big name who has a chance to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and resurrect his WWE career.

Someone of Ali's caliber should be in the middle of the title frame, if not above it.

WWE RAW Ricochet

Ricochet is arguably one of the greatest wrestlers on the WWE roster right now. Within the ring, he can do some pretty incredible stuff. Ricochet's main roster tenure hasn't been as fruitful as his time in NXT due to a lack of opportunities and proper character growth.

This year will be the One and Only's first appearance in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and he'll want to make the most of it. Ricochet deserves a chance to shine, despite his wrestling style is diametrically opposed to that of the late WWE Hall of Famer.

WWE SmackDown Murphy

Murphy, a WWE SmackDown Superstar, had a successful year in 2020. The former Cruiserweight Champion paired up with Seth Rollins, the Monday Night Messiah, to win the RAW Tag Team Championships.

Murphy was a key figure in Seth Rollins' feud with Rey Mysterio, but he later turned allied and babyface with the Rey Mysterio. In addition, WWE began a romantic relationship between him and Aaliyah Mysterio.

Murphy, on the other hand, vanished from WWE TV for months after defeating Seth Rollins. When he returned, he unexpectedly confronted Rollins again, and the whole Mysterio family plot was shelved.

Although his return in that manner was bizarre, WWE could continue his drive from last year by making him win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this week on SmackDown.

WWE RAW Cedric Alexander

Last year, the main roster career of former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander seemed to be in jeopardy. When MVP recruited him into The Hurt Company, however, everything changed for him. He captured the RAW Tag Team Championship with Shelton Benjamin and had a dominant stint with the faction.

On Monday Night RAW, however, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley ejected him and Benjamin from The Hurt Company. This has ignited speculation as to what this means for Cedric Alexander's future.

If his time in The Hurt Business impressed WWE, he could be given a proper singles drive, which could begin with his victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this year.
