5 WWE Superstars You Do Not Know Have Appeared in movies
In several respects, the wrestling and film industries are close. WWE Superstars, like actors, play roles on television and have a team of writers who develop plots and feuds for them. This makes it easier for wrestlers who wish to pursue a career in film to make the transition.

Although top wrestlers like The Rock, Batista, and John Cena have gone on to great success in Hollywood, the transition from wrestling to acting hasn't always been easy. Many wrestlers have played minor roles in low-budget films, while others have merely appeared in minor roles.

Here are five WWE Superstars who have acted in films, which you might or may not be aware of.

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam in Black Mask 2

Rob Van Dam, a WWE Hall of Famer, has appeared in several wrestling promotions and won several titles, including the ECW World Championships and WWE.

The cast of The Whole Dam Show even appeared in a video. In the 2002 sequel Black Mask 2: City of Masks, he played a wrestler known as The Claw. Other films in which he appeared include 3-Headed Shark Attack, Sniper: Special Ops, and Wrong Side of Town.

Former WWE Superstar Sheamus in Ninja Turtles

Sheamus is one of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of the company. He has held numerous titles and competed in high-stakes matches such as the Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, and Money in the Bank throughout his distinguished career.

At WrestleMania 37, the Celtic Warrior reclaimed the United States Championship from Riddle, making him the first Celtic Warrior to do so. Sheamus has also appeared on the big screen in addition to his ring achievements.

Sheamus made his film debut in 2018 with The Escapist, and his biggest role was in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows in 2016, where he played Rocksteady, a rhino.

Sheamus made his voice-acting debut in the animated film Scooby-Doo! & WWE: The Curse of the Speed Demon in the same year.

The Legend of WWE Bret Hart in Hitman

Many people consider Bret Hart to be one of the greatest wrestlers to ever put on a pair of boots. In WWE, he was a huge success, main-eventing several pay-per-view events and winning the WWE Championship five times.

Hart has starred in television shows such as The Simpsons as an animated character and The Adventures of Sinbad. He also appeared in the film Tales From The Dead Zone, which was supposed to come out in 2020.

Legend of WWE The Undertaker in Suburban Commando

Suburban Commando, a 1991 science-fiction action film starring The Undertaker, was released shortly after 'The Undertaker's debut with WWE. WWE legend Hulk Hogan also appeared in the film. The Phenom portrayed Hutch, an alien bounty hunter whose mission was to find Shep Ramsey Terry Gene Bollea (Hulk Hogan).

Since then, The Undertaker hasn't acted in any other films, but he did lend his voice to some WWE Studios-produced animated films.

Diamond Dallas Page in The Devil’s Rejects

WWE Superstars normally return to the wrestling industry in some capacity after transitioning to acting.

Diamond Dallas Page is best known for his tenure with World Championship Wrestling, where he won the WCW World Championship, but he also worked with AEW and WWE.

DDP starred in The Devil's Rejects, a 2005 horror film that is the second installment of the Firefly film series and a sequel to the 2003 film House of 1000 Corpses. one of the bounty hunters hired to find the Firefly family, DDP plays Billy Ray Snapper, in the movie.
