5 WWE Superstars who can retire after WrestleMania 37

5 WWE Superstars who can retire after WrestleMania 37
WrestleMania 37 is less than two weeks away, and despite the fact that the card has been in the works for months, there are still a few notable names missing from the show.

Following The Undertaker's retirement in the summer of 2020, this is the first WrestleMania since he hung up his ring boots, and it's left a significant void on the annual card. The Deadman appeared at WrestleMania last year, beating AJ Styles in a Boneyard contest, but he will not be appearing at this year's event.

Other notable absences include Triple H, who hasn't wrestled at WrestleMania since his match against Batista in 2019.

Several current WWE stars may be considering following in The Undertaker's footsteps in the near future, as the WWE Universe will be able to return in the coming weeks, allowing these stars to bow out in style.

The following is a list of only 5 current WWE Superstars who could retire from in-ring competition in the weeks or months after this year's Show of Shows.

Shane McMahon may retire from in-ring competition

Shane McMahon is a part-time WWE wrestler who is mainly used for WrestleMania matches. Shane McMahon has wrestled at a number of WrestleMania events in recent years, and he will be back in two weeks for the event.

The former SmackDown Commissioner is reportedly involved in a feud with Braun Strowman. The feud, however, could come to an end shortly after WWE's biggest show of the year next month, as it has been a contentious storyline from the outset.

The father of three is already 51 years old, and he may be looking to take a break from jumping off the top rope or the top of Hell in a Cell to take care of his body. Shane McMahon is a great authority figure for WWE, and in the past, he has been able to rely on up-and-coming wrestlers instead of wrestling himself.

The comeback of the WWE Universe at this year's WrestleMania may be one of the factors that encourage Shane McMahon to retire from the ring and move into a full-time backstage job with WWE in the near future.

Titus O'Neil may retire after WrestleMania 37

Titus O'Neil, along with WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, was recently announced as one of the hosts of WrestleMania 37. For the most part, the former Tag Team Champion has been forgotten, reduced to Royal Rumble spots and squash matches for many years.

Titus O'Neil's work outside of WWE has kept him on the radar of fans, and the star was able to improve his own career with a spectacular botch at The Biggest Royal Rumble in 2018.

Titus O'Neil will be 44 years old next month, and he has made it clear that he is a caring father outside of the ring. After retiring from WWE following WrestleMania, the former Champion will continue to do the work he does for the organization, so retirement would not significantly alter his current plans.

Titus O'Neil has previously shown management abilities, which WWE can consider after he formally retires from in-ring competition.

Kane may choose to retire from WWE WrestleMania 37

The WWE Universe was taken aback by The Undertaker's retirement, particularly because The Deadman looked so good at WrestleMania 36. Kane has been brought back many times in recent years to support The Deadman in his WWE feuds, but it's hard to picture Kane retiring anytime soon without The Undertaker.

The former World Champion had recently announced as one of the inductees into the 2021 Hall of Fame, and The Big Red Machine, like Sting, might also announce his retirement during the Hall of Fame Ceremonies itself ahead of WrestleMania.

Kane has always been the Mayor of the Knox Region of the state, Tennessee, since 2018 and has made many WWE appearances during that period, including a recent cameo in the Royal Rumble match.

Kane is 53 years old, and now that he's been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, it makes sense that he'll retire from wrestling in the coming months.

Triple H may want to retire following WrestleMania

Triple H hasn't been a full-time WWE wrestler in years, but he was always able to jump into a storyline leading up to WrestleMania each year. As of this writing, The Game is not scheduled to play at this year's WrestleMania, and his most recent appearance was at the Show of Shows, where he defeated Batista at WrestleMania 35.

Following his match versus Triple H, The Animal announced his retirement from professional wrestling. The Game might follow suit after going two years without a WrestleMania bout.

Triple H has been the company's backbone for nearly three decades and has now become known as "The Godfather of NXT," a term that has absorbed much of his attention in recent years. This has also given the former World Champion the opportunity to mold a number of current WWE stars.

When the WWE Universe returns, it appears that Triple H is now concentrating on building the future, and he might feel that it's time to have his last match inside a WWE ring before reflecting on his backstage commitments.

After WrestleMania retirement of Rey Mysterio will get far closer

5 WWE Superstars who can retire after WrestleMania 37
Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE at the 2018 Royal Rumble, but he has yet to be confirmed for this year's WrestleMania. The WWE legend is expected to challenge for the Tag Team Championship with his son Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania, but no official announcement has been made.

Rey Mysterio is 46 years old and has spent the last three decades traveling the globe and honing his trade. WWE has now signed his son Dominik Mysterio, allowing Rey Mysterio to have a revival in his career for several months.

However, the former World Champion has been honest about his retirement in recent years, and it's clear that Rey Mysterio is sticking around to support his son's career. Dominik Mysterio has already established himself as a successful WWE star, and if the organization decides to launch a father-son rivalry in the near future, Mysterio's retirement will be after a long time from now.
