Paul Heyman could take 5 SmackDown Superstars to RAW

Paul Heyman could take 5 SmackDown Superstars to RAW

WWE is planning for WrestleMania 36, which this year will be a bit different, given the various improvements that have recently taken place. Following WrestleMania, RAW and SmackDown are often exciting shows as WWE starts fresh feuds during The Show of Shows, while some Superstars will get a new lease of life to appeal to others that have been out due to injury.

We might also see WWE switch from RAW to SmackDown and vice versa from underused Superstars. The Red Brand with Paul Heyman as its Executive Director can use some new Superstars to refresh things, particularly in the mid-card, women's, and men's tag teams.

After WrestleMania 36, let's take a look at 5 SmackDown Superstars that Paul Heyman might take to RAW:

The New Day

Since 2017, the seven-time tag team champions, The New Day, have been on the blue brand, having switched from RAW. The trio found the SmackDown tag team division interesting, and on the blue brand, they had epic rivalries with the likes of The Usos.

Since returning to SmackDown in 2017, the five-time SmackDown Tag Team champions have done a lot in WWE, so it is perhaps time for them to switch to the red brand. As Xavier Woods has been ruled out for a few months due to injuries, The New Day has one participant out of service.

Kofi Kingston and Big E  have been in a feud on SmackDown with John Morrison and The Miz, and the latter, who are the reigning SmackDown Tag Team champions, may face The New Day, The Usos, and Heavy Machinery at WrestleMania 36 in a multi-man tag team match.

After WrestleMania 36, the New Day will not have many exciting new feuds to be involved in on SmackDown, so Paul Heyman could take them to RAW to reignite the division of the tag team and feud with the likes of Rollins and Murphy and AOP.

Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville is one of the most underused women on the SmackDown roster since she is someone who has real MMA experience and can add a lot of credibility to matches. Sonya Deville has been sidelined ever further with her tag team partner Mandy Rose currently in a love triangle with Dolph Ziggler and Otis.

In 2017, the former NXT Superstar made her debut on the main roster on RAW but was drafted only a year later to SmackDown. Now is maybe the perfect time to introduce her back to the red brand and set her up for the RAW Women's Championship challenge finally.

To pull off a Becky Lynch-like gimmick, Sonya Deville has a look and attitude and a guy like Paul Heyman might boost her character.

It would be smart to push Sonya Deville on WWE television while breaking up the Fire & Passion will lead SmackDown to drop yet another women's tag team. Sonya Deville is a rising superstar who needs to get a chance and fast.

Mustafa Ali

Over the past few years, Mustafa Ali has been one of the breakthrough stars in WWE, having made his main roster debut in 2018. Since impressing on 205 Live, Mustafa Ali made his SmackDown debut and had a feud with Daniel Bryan, the WWE Champion at the time.

Mustafa Ali was expected to get the Kofi Kingston slot at WrestleMania last year, which concluded in Kingston winning the WWE Championship. Many thought Mustafa Ali would get a big boost, but his push was derailed after a few successful matches, and he last wrestled for the blue brand with the likes of Drew Gulak and Apollo Crews.

For Mustafa Ali, who has moved from a possible WWE Title match to the lower mid-card, it's a huge loss. Under Paul Heyman, who propelled the likes of Cedric Alexander and Ricochet, a transfer to RAW will help Mustafa Ali reinvent his career.

For the U.S. Championship, Mustafa Ali could feud against the likes of Andrade or even Angel Garza, who could all play thrilling matches.

Daniel Bryan

Gulak, who is pushing for the blue brand. Daniel Bryan recently announced that he is in the early part of his career and that soon, after his contract ends, he will be a part-time employee.

After WrestleMania 36, Daniel Bryan might switch to RAW and have a few picky feuds, maybe with someone like Edge or even Seth Rollins. A high-profile rivalry like that could headline some major PPVs, and fans will be really satisfied with Paul Heyman's genius, as well as Bryan's in-ring capacity.

Sasha Banks or Bayley

It was revealed on SmackDown this week that Sasha Banks would be one of the five women who will challenge Bayley at WrestleMania 36 for the SmackDown Women's championship. It is very clear that, as the SmackDown Women's Queen, one of the two will walk away from WrestleMania 36.

Fans have been clamoring for Bayley and Sasha Banks to play a single match, but that would mean one of them would have to turn the babyface around. This is not the best time for either of them to turn babyface, with Bayley turning heel just a few months ago and settling into her stride, and Sasha Banks flourishing like a heel.

Instead, WWE should retain the winner of the Blue brand's SmackDown Women's title match and switch the other one to RAW. After WrestleMania 36, it might be the perfect path for Bayley or Sasha Bank to challenge Becky Lynch or Shayna Baszler.

Later this year, when each of them is the women's champions of their respective brands, Sasha Banks and Bayley could meet each other at the Survivor Series.
